Robert Rasmussen

Robert Rasmussen has worked with the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method since its inception in 1999 and is recognized as its principal architect. Together with his team, he refined the concept through more than 20 iterations, developing it into the methodology used worldwide today.

From 1988 to 2001, Robert worked for the LEGO Group, including as Head of R&D for LEGO Education, and contributed to the development of LEGO MINDSTORMS. He later managed Executive Discovery Ltd. (2001–2004), which developed and launched the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY program.

A native of Denmark, Robert holds a master’s degree in education from the Royal Danish School of Education in Copenhagen. Throughout his career, he has applied theories of play, learning, and creativity to organizational development, collaborating with researchers at Tufts University and the MIT Media Lab.

Today, Robert is a master trainer in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method, delivering facilitator training and workshops worldwide through Rasmussen Consulting. Together with Per Kristiansen, he co-authored Building a Better Business with the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Method. He lives in Kolding, Denmark.
